Am I Goofy or What? Week #7 Training Recap

This was the view of Antrim Lake on Saturday morning for my one and only run this week. Yeah…clearly it was a stellar training week. Seeing that I also did not get my behind out of bed this morning to run fourany miles, this week is off to a similar start. Ugh. It was, however, a beautiful run with some of my favorite Lucky 13’s on Saturday because we had such gorgeous views on a beautiful, brisk morning.

My splits on Saturday even reflected the spring fall in my step:

Mile 1 13:12
Mile 2 14:12
Mile 3 12:33
Mile 4 12:11

Do these count as negative splits? Because if so, that may be the first time that has ever happened in my life. Too bad I wasn’t racing! On a side note, I’m not ready for winter. My lungs were protesting the cold, though, and couldn’t get warm no matter what I did once I got home. 

So much for being Goofy, though, with these miles…

  • SAT 10/22 – Ran 4 miles in 52 minutes; 13:01 pace.

  5. Sara, I love you, but it’s time for some tough love. You have to start dragging yourself out of bed. If it helps, imagine I’m chasing you. Goofy is only going to be fun if you get your training in!
