With only 54 days until Christmas, who couldn’t use $150?!? After all, if you’re like me, you spent a good deal of your hard-earned dollars on race registration fees, running gear, traveling to events, and supporting charities that you run for.
With the holiday season rapidly approaching practically here, I have been thinking about giving Christmas gifts and of course, my budget. To be honest, there’s not a lot of wiggle room this year – for most people, I think – and my family is enthusiastically participating in a gift exchange. It will be the first for us, drawing a name out of a pot to purchase one person a gift and making gifts for the remaining members of the family. You can spend a little money on supplies needed to make something, but that’s it! This way, we only have to purchase one gift (excluding what my husband and I will give one another), but we can still create gifts for everyone we care about. I will probably be making scrap books or photo albums as my homemade gifts – but first, we need to get on that name drawing!
