CeliAct: The #1 Nutritional Supplement Just for People with Celiac Disease

Although millions of dollars are being spent on celiac disease research, the list of sufferers continues to grow and remains only one cure – the gluten-free diet. While I haven’t been officially diagnosed with celiac disease, my doctor has determined that I definitely have intolerance to it. I have been reading a lot about gluten sensitivity and other health concerns that come along with it (systemic inflammation, lactose intolerance, food allergies, etc.) and would not be surprised if the way I have been eating (mainly processed foods, whole grains, sugars, dairy) have impacted my health – or lack thereof recently. I believe most of the food we ingest is poisoning in one way or another and I no longer want to do that to my body. Since September, I have been trying to greatly decrease, if not eliminate these things from my diet:

  • Gluten and it’s relatives (wheat, barley, rye, spelt, quiona, soy, sorghum, brown rice, oats, corn and teff)
  • Poultry (yes, poultry, because chickens ingest massive amounts of corn and are exposed to latex and ingest too many plant oils)
  • Avocados, Bananas, Celery, Figs and Kiwi (all contain a latex-like protein that can aggravate the immune system)
  • Seeds, nuts, chips, flax, soy, chickpeas and humus

But, is gluten-free really enough? Our bodies are also lacking many essential nutrients such as omega 3 (fish oil), calcium, magnesium and vitamins D and B, among others.

Since September, I have been taking so many vitamins it’s upset my stomach, caused unnecessary anxiety (when, where, how much) and become disruptive at times. This isn’t even all I was taking in one day (and it made me crazy, very crazy)-

Needless to say, I was eager and relieved to discover CeliAct from my friend Elle over at Eat Run Sail. CeliAct is a supplement to the gluten-free diet that provides a complete nutritional solution for people with celiac disease. It provides your body with nutrients and compounds you need to stay healthy.

CeliAct bottle

According to a number of recent studies if you have celiac disease and follow a gluten free diet, your need for vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients are significantly higher.

CeliAct provides everything you need in five compnents, including:

  • Digestive Enzyme Support – Assists your intestine by breaking  down food and releasing more vitamins and minerals to reduce the risk of  nutrient deficiencies.
  • Multivitamin / Multiminieral Complex – The intestine of someone with celiac disease doesn’t absorb nutrients as well as a healthy person so it needs things such as Vitamins A, E and K (for immunity, blood clotting and vision); Vitamin C; B-Complex Vitamins; and Folic Acid and B12 (to reduce anemia).
  • Intestinal Healing Blend – With nutrients such as Zinc, which helps your body to patch up holes and gaps in your intestinal linin
  • Probiotic Defense Complex- Helps to toss out bad bacteria, assist in digestion, and lend a much-needed hand to your body’s intestinal healing cells.
  • Bone-Building Formula- People with celiac disease are also at a higher risk for diseases like osteoporosis. This componont strenghtens your bones with nutrients like Calcium, Vitamin D and Magnesium.

For a complete list of nutrients included in this product and all of their benefits, visit here.

And while all of these nutrients are essential, did you know the most common nutrient that people with celiac disease don’t get enough of isn’t iron, calcium, or zinc? It’s fat.

Stop being afraid of fat. You need it. Fat helps to produce new cells, build strong joints, and keep the immune system healthy. Without enough fat you may become underweight, deficient in fat-soluble vitamins, and develop brittle nails and hair.

To make sure you get enough, you can also take CeliAct Fish Oil. It gives you the extra fat that your body needs and is rich in essential Omega-3 fatty acids. Studies show that fish oil accelerates the healing process of the intestine by providing the critical nutrients for intestinal healing. The damage that gluten unleashes on your body results in severe inflammation of the intestines. Unfortunately, inflammation can exist even after you’ve made dietry changes to elminate gluten, which is why you need fish oil.

These two products combined together provide all the multi-vitamins and nutrients you need to not only recover from, but remain healthy after eliminating gluten from your life.

They are slightly expensive, but totally worth it in my opinion (I was spending almost double this on all the pills I was taking before) – and if you think of the health benefits, I would rather pay for wellness than to be sick all the time. I’ve traded in all of my other vitamins for this package. This is for a month supply-

Since I have been taking vitamins I feel healthier, more energized and sleep better at night. And, best of all, I am relieved to be taking this, instead of what I was taking before:

Celiact pills

I believe we must make sure our bodies are getting all of the nutrients we need (even if we must take a pill), but I have said goodbye to the days of owning my own pharmacy!

CeliAct is a nutritional supplement specifically for people with celiac disease. Read more at the CeliAct Blog and connect with CeliAct on Facebook and Twitter. They have a fantastic website with a lot of information for people with celiac diseae. I found it very informative and plan to go back to it as a resource from now on.
