Thank you #BostonStrongColumbus

Official event w black border THANK YOU

Monday’s event, #BostonStrongColumbus, held in support of the 2013 Boston Marathon victims, spectators, friends, volunteers, first responders-  all of us impacted by this tragedy – the people of Boston and our country. I am proud to be a part of Columbus, the running family and the #BostonStrongCity movement put on by Brian at PavementRunner.com. Over 90 cities participated, including Paris, France with groups of runners from five to 2,000. You are truly part of something special for the people of Boston.

Thank you to: Each and every one of you who came to the run in a show of solidarity for Boston; Brian at Pavement Runner for hosting this global event; Kris at No Limits Running for co-hosting #BostonStrongColumbus with me, John Cox 2008 Boston Marathoner for leading our run; Max Muscle of Hilliard, Ohio for donating funds to provide supplies/snacks and a generous donation to The One Fund – Boston; Panera Bread in Grove City for making 100 bagels fresh within a few hours on a moment’s notice; and WSYX ABC  6 News and Tom Bosco for providing live streaming and coverage of the event (we had several runners who weren’t able to make it to the park, but ran in solidarity with us from their homes). See the links to visit these people places and show your appreciation too.

If you would like to make a personal donation to the official charity for the Boston bombings, please visit The One Fund – Boston.

If you have photos or personal comments or stories from the event, please visit Pavement Runner to share your stories and photos.  Brian is planning on compiling photos from all of the events, gathering quotes and emotions and putting them in a digital format (free) for all of us to see and experience. If you would like to be notified when it is live, please visit his post and let him know per the instructions there.

I am thinking of something creative/memorable to do with our sign. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments below.

Columbus is #BostonStrong. Thank you.
